Elementary Level Autism Program Teacher

This position is for a lead teacher for our Autism program in Eudora Kansas for the 2018-19 school year. The program serves students within the autism spectrum grades K-5 from the East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education serving Eudora, Baldwin City and Wellsvile. 

 

Job responsibilities

Teacher must have a working knowledge of the autism spectrum and related programming methodologies, including ABA principles, Structured Teaching, Verbal Behavior Training, etc. Must also be able to manage a paraprofessional team and provide guidance to that team on appropriately delivering prescribed methodologies per the students IEPs. Must be well versed in appropriate data collection and behavior programming for students with anomolous behaviors.

BCBA not necessary, but preferred, candidate must hold or be willing to obtain appropriate licensure in low incidence or autism, but waiver opportunities are available. This is a great opportunity for a career focus that is growing and will continue to grow.
