The Emporia School district includes the City of Emporia and adjacent rural areas. We are located in east-central Kansas at the junction of U.S. 50 Highway, the Kansas Turnpike and Interstate 35, midway between Wichita and Topeka.

Emporia, Kansas, has a population of 25,000 people and a diverse economy supported by manufacturing, retail business, agriculture and education. The city is home to the National Teachers Hall of Fame and Emporia State University.

Emporia Public Schools is a mid-sized district of approximately 4,500 students in eastern Kansas. We take pride in our progressive approach to instruction with Literacy First and Professional Learning Communities as the foundations for teaching, assessment and differentiated instruction.
