2019-2020 CAD/Industrial Arts Teacher

The Classroom Instructor creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students.  In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Classroom Instructor must work closely with other staff, the administration, and other programs of Dodge City Public Schools. The successful candidate will be a self starter and team player.

 

Knowledge and experience with instruction, methodology and materials related to bilingual education. ESL/ESOL endorsement preferred.

Better than average recommendations from student teaching supervisors or other professionals who have observed the personal characteristics, scholastic attainment and classroom performance of the teacher.

Ability to meet District standards for physical and mental health.

Personal Qualities - Appearance, grooming and personality which establish a desirable example for students.

Kansas Certification of Health on file in the Central Office.

Demonstrated ability to work with fellow educators to develop, implement and evaluate instructional strategies and materials to improve teaching and learning for all students

Advanced degree, experience and/or specialized training in curriculum content and instructional pedagogy relative to assignment preferred.

Kansas certification required, or certification in a different state with qualifications that allow for licensure in Kansas.  Endorsement in 7-12 Industrial Arts Junior High, Industrial Arts Comp, Technology Education, Drafting, Vocational Drafting, Drafting/Design Engineering, Comp. Industrial Tech.
