Qualifications

1. Experience analyzing data with Microsoft Excel or other software.

 

2. Experience with Skyward or other Student Information System a plus

 

3. Two years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) experience a plus

 

4. Familiarity of automated jobs with SFTP capability a plus.

 

5. Experience in any of the following development environments is a plus: MS SSAS, MS SSIS, MS SSRS, MS Power BI, MySQL, MariaDB, Tableau, R, etc.

Supervises:          None

 

Job Goal:

Primarily responsible to extract, transform, and load data from one electronic system to another. This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating the District’s data warehouse. This position will be responsible for extracting custom reports as well for various agencies both internal and external.  Maintains third party software systems and interfaces to include (but not limited to) Skyward, TransFinder, Schoology, HMH, etc.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Good knowledge of the District’s Student and Financial Information Systems
  2. Maintain the District’s data warehouse by extracting data from various systems
  3. Transform data in the warehouse through normalization or denormalization
  4. Maintain reports on the District’s Power BI platform or other products
  5. Develop and maintain row level security on the District’s Power BI platform or other products
  6. Maintain the District’s data warehouse
  7. Analyze and interpret data for educational and operational initiatives
  8. Create automated extracts out of the various systems in use at the District in a timely manner
  9. Facilitates with district teaching and business staff the documentation of the business intelligence and reporting business requirements and business rules
  10. Documents and coordinates the teaching and business user acceptance testing of the business intelligence warehouse and reporting output.
  11. Monitor the data extraction processes daily
  12. Update and maintain various District systems to include (but not limited to) Skyward
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer

Terms of Employment:           12 Months

Salary Range:                        To be determined by experience and credentials

Evaluation Frequency:           Job performance will be evaluated after 90 days and then yearly in May
