Lansing is a community of approximately 12,000 residents located in Leavenworth County, Kansas, approximately 15 miles northwest of the Legends/Speedway area and 30 minutes from any area in the Kansas City Metro area.
Lansing Public Schools opened a new high school and athletic facilities in the fall of 2015 with 1 to 1 iPad technology. Currently, there is one elementary school (pre-K-5), one intermediate school (4-5), one middle school, (6-8) and one high school (9-12). Lansing High School is currently a 5A high school as classified by KSHSAA. Enrollment has shown consistent growth and is at 950 students during the 2018-19 school year.
