Greeley County Schools, located close to the Colorado border in Tribune, Kansas is a progressive district of 265 PreK-12th grade students striving for excellence in academics, character, and activities. Our schools are fortunate to have a growing student population in many recent years, while still retaining our small class sizes where all students have increased opportunities to be successful. In addition, our district’s teachers and students have access to new technology with all classrooms equipped with Promethean boards and all 6-12th grade students are provided a laptop by the district with elementary students having computer time as part of their daily schedule. Also, our school facilities are outstanding at both the elementary and secondary level with a multi-million dollar elementary remodel completed in the last decade.
Unique positives for our professional teaching staff include a regular 4-day school week, tuition reimbursement of up to $150 per hour for up to 12 hours per year towards an advanced degree, and an outstanding program where teachers can receive up to $15,000 over 5 years to use towards their student loans through a partnership between the state of Kansas and Greeley County. Also, new teachers find our mentoring program helpful along with our positive administrative and classified staff. Greeley County Schools are a great place to enjoy the opportunity to impact students’ lives as a educator!
Additional benefits of living in this rural community are that Tribune has a “critical care access” hospital along with recreational opportunities such as the city swimming pool as well as a number of community recreation programs and a fitness facility.
