Sumner County Educational Services, located in Wellington, KS, is accepting applications for a K-4 Low-Incidence (Functional) Teacher for the 2019-2020 (Current) School Year.
Will involve teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities in our Belle Plaine Elementary location, in Belle Plaine, KS.
Applicants must currently hold or will hold by date of employment, a Kansas license with the appropriate endorsement. An applicant who is not licensed in special education but willing to pursue licensure will be considered. Tuition reimbursement program available for licensed teachers wishing to pursue adding Low-Incidence endorsement.
This position requires a person who has good communication skills and can work effectively with staff, students, and parents. Job responsibilities include development and implementation of IEPs, the provision of services in the regular and special education settings, collecting data for decision-making, and the supervision of para educators.

Districts served are USD 359, Argonia; USD 357, Belle Plaine; USD 360 Caldwell; USD 358, Oxford; and USD 509 South Haven.
