The district provides a fringe benefit toward a Blue Cross/ Blue Shield health insurance plan in addition to a life insurance policy. Additional insurances are available thru Delta Dental, Vision Care Direct, and American Fidelity. The district participates in the ESSDACK 403b plan and KPERS 457 plan if the employee desires to take advantage of that. A partial tuition reimbursement is available for classes taken for license renewal and the district pays all expenses toward an ESOL endorsement. Pay is based on experience and education.

Wichita County USD 467 is a 2A school district located in Leoti, Wichita County, Kansas.

Wichita County teachers teach in a positive, supportive environment with low student to teacher ratios.  We continue to meet Adequate Yearly Progress standards.  USD 467 is proud of its reputation for excellence in Education and has high expectations for all students.  Both attendance centers, Wichita County Junior-Senior High School and Wichita County Elementary (formerly R. Wichita County is located approximately 30 miles east of the Colorado border and halfway between Nebraska and Oklahoma in western Kansas.  The community has quality health care, recreation, and other amenities expected in a community our size.  Enrollment is steady with a student population of 418 in Pre-K to 12.

In 2009 Wichita County passed a bond issue to build a new grade school which opened in August of 2011.  Also recently constructed is a new Vocational Agriculture building and weight room facility.  Energy upgrades including new HVAC and improved lighting are part of the project.
