The Reno County Education Cooperative #610 has an opening for an Assistant Director of Special Education for the 2019-2020 school year. The Assistant Director reports directly to the Executive Director of Special Education. The Assistant Director is responsible for the hiring/training of paraeducators and ensuring the implementation of special education services throughout the districts.
RCEC is an interlocal serving five school districts in Reno County. There are approximately 750-800 students with special needs served within the RCEC districts. RCEC employs approximately 95 licensed personnel and 160 paraprofessionals serving children from birth to 21. The Assistant Director is a vital member of the administrative team and works closely with school staff in addition to RCEC licensed personnel.
