Biology Instructor

 9 Month Contract Full-time Position (renewable contract position)

                                                          

RESPONSIBILITIES:         The Biology Instructor will teach 15 credit hours of classes each semester.  The predominately online teaching assignment will include Principles of Biology and related Life Sciences courses.  The position is responsible for student recruitment and advising, academic program development and division participation, committee and task force service, and individual professional development.  (Please review the complete position description posted on the college website.)

                        

QUALIFICATIONS:            Master of Biology, a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Biology and/or related Life Sciences, or an equivalent degree is required.  Experience in distance education and college teaching is preferred.

 

LOCATION:                         Iola Campus or Burlingame Campus office location.  On-campus office hours are required of the position.

 

SALARY:                             MS/MA $43,143-$49,960; PhD $48,130-$54,947; based on education and experience.  An excellent benefits package is available.

           

STARTING DATE:             August 7, 2019 (Classes begin August 19, 2019)
