Troy USD 429
Troy is located approximately 16 miles west of St. Joseph, Missouri and 65 miles northeast of Topeka. It is the county seat of Doniphan County. A small, rural community with small town values.
The elementary (grades K-6) has a current enrollment of 202. There are also the following additional classrooms: a music room, a library media center, gymnasium, Title I classroom, a computer lab, conference room and the district office.
The middle school current enrollment is 56. The building has four classrooms and a computer lab.
The high school was built in 1926. In 1994 the school district had a $1 million building project to upgrade facilities for grades 7-12. The high school has two mobile computer labs and moving towards individual devices for all students. The current enrollment is 95. The high school participates in 1A/2A district activities. The high school is currently a member of the Twin Valley League.
Each building has a wireless computer system. Grades 4-12 are 1 to 1 Chromebooks. Grades K-3 are 1 - 2 devices with additional computers and labs available. Every classroom K-12 is equipped with smart room technology. The district supplies each teacher with a laptop.
