Weskan Schools is seeking a Preschool-12 Music teacher or student teacher, beginning in January 2020 or August 2020.  Music teachers, student teachers, regularly licensed teachers, music professionals that want to move to teaching, elementary teachers with an interest in music, and teachers that want to add an endorsement are all welcome to apply.  This job could be full-time or part-time, depending on the applicant.  If interested, contact Dave Hale, superintendent, at 785-943-5222 or email him at dhale@weskanschools.org  We have small class sizes and a retiring music teacher with 32 years of experience for you to work under if you begin in January.  We are willing to work with you!  Weskan is a great small farming community that is highly supportive of our music program.

The school pays 75% of health insurance, up to a maximum of $900/mo., if the teacher joins our district United Healthcare plan. Possible housing stipend and an extra band/choir supplemental contract will begin on August 2020. Salary is based on salary schedule.

Weskan is state accredited, has a K-12 enrollment of around 100 students, and consistently has a near-perfect graduation rate.  4th-12th grades utilize Chromebooks in each classroom, and K-5th have access to iPads.
