School Psychologist

Position performs specialized psychological work in an educational setting to enable students to achieve optimal learning. Position collects, interprets, and synthesizes information about a student`s sensory motor/perceptual functioning, academic achievement, intelligence, social/emotional adjustment, and significant crises that influence academic and behavioral functioning. Position works cooperatively as an interdisciplinary team member to devise an appropriate individualized education plan for students with disabilities.Doniphan County Education Cooperative USD 616 Doniphan County Education Cooperative USD 616. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES * Utilizes various models and methods of assessment and data collection for identifying strengths and needs of individual students and needs of individual students. *Assist teachers in the planning and development of Individual Education Plans. *Assist in the development of initial evaluations and three-year re-evaluations. *Assist teachers in identifying research-based strategies to maximize student learning and engagement. *Consult with school personnel and parents about ways to facilitate learning and adjustment for individual students. *Attend Individual Education Plans to provide input to teachers, students, and parents to develop the most appropriate goals and objectives for students. *Assist in the development and implementation of behavior programming. *Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Special Education. Candidates must hold a valid Kansas Department of Education School Psychologist License or be in the process of obtaining a valid license.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
