Reports To: Building Principal
Position Purpose: Organize- supervise- and conduct developmentally-appropriate activities daily to allow children to foster self-confidence and independence. Work closely with the family to ensure that they receive training- services- and assistance as needed.
Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s of Education degree with an emphasis in early childhood education and a current Kansas teaching certificate.
ESOL endorsement preferred.
Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the skills and abilities outlined below during any part of the working day.
The employee is expected to demonstrate adequate skills in speaking- hearing- manual dexterity- mobility- lifting (as much as 20 lbs)- pushing- pulling- bending- stooping- sitting- handling a variety of stressful situations- flexibility in adjusting to varied levels of pressure and intensity- patience- calmness- persistence.
