Welding/Industrial Arts Instructor

USD #452 Stanton County is seeking a welding and industrial arts teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This position currently teaches woodworking, welding and CAD. Applicants qualified and interested to teach either content area are encouraged to apply. Coaching may be available but isn’t required.

 

Certified Staff: 2018-2019 base salary is $38,650; with 5 years’ experience $40,550; Masters with -0- years’ experience $40,650. Benefits include paid time off days. District reimburses college hours and allows the user to advance on the pay scale. The district provides a one-time stipend of $1,000 for ESL endorsed, certified staff. The district provides single health insurance coverage.

The town of Johnson is located in far southwest Kansas. USD 452 is a KSHSAA 2A district with 285 students in the Pre-K thru 6th; & 185 students 7th-12th.

All buildings are air-conditioned, and the High School has an indoor pool. Student/teacher ratio is approximately 17/1. Every 7th through 12th-grade student has a Chromebook, as well as Chromebooks in the Elementary classrooms.  Each teacher has been provided a personal IPad.  Possible sponsorships and supplemental contracts available. Computer labs/internet access in each building.
