Deerfield`s population is approximately 800 and is located in Kearny County in Southwestern Kansas.  Primarily a rural district, Deerfield is nestled on the western plains of Kansas located along Highway 50/400 just 14 miles west of Garden City.  Deerfield is a wonderful friendly small farming community in which to live and raise a family.  The community takes pride in its schools and supports activities.  Our schools are located at the corner of 8th and Beech street on the west side of town.
