The district has approximately 1050 students and 175 employees.  Typical elementary class sizes are between 15-18 students.  USD 210  has worked hard to keep up with the changes in technology to provide 21st century skills to students. The district has implemented a 1:1 ipad initiative PreK-12th grade. Using Seesaw, Google Classroom, Apptegy, and Swivl, we strive to make learning personal and fun.

The district is comprised of:  an early childhood center (ECDC) that serves students in preschool, kinderprep and kindergarten, an elementary school (HES) that serves grades 1st - 6th, a middle school (HMS) that serves grades 7 and 8, and a high school (HHS) for students in grades 9th -12th. USD 210 schools provide unparalleled opportunities for individual exploration, school involvement, and growth.  Strong parent and community support counts are universals strengths for our success.

As a district, we strive to work together through teaming, collaboration, communication, and shared decision-making.  Through respect, integrity, commitment, and optimism we strive to exemplify our mission of "engaging students, staff, and the community in a positive atmosphere where focused learning activities create successful, productive citizens."

The quality of life in Hugoton is enhanced by its commitment to young people and families. Hugoton’s Recreation Commission is committed to providing activities for the youth of the county, at an affordable cost. Forewinds Municipal Golf Course is a diamond in the rough and provides adult recreation for the community. The Hugoton Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council continue to work to improve the economic viability of Hugoton and of Stevens County. Finally, Hugoton is located near many interesting destinations (Amarillo, TX - 3 hours; Red River, NM - 5 hours; Angel Fire, NM - 5 hours; Colorado Springs, CO - 5 hours)
