High School Journalism/Yearbook teacher

USD 297–St. Francis is seeking a talented, eager high school journalism teacher to take over our journalism department. Classes would include Yearbook, 21st Century Journalism, Graphic Design, and Media & Public Relations. This teacher would become part of a very collegial, friendly faculty that thrives on good working relationships with all faculty and staff. Different combinations of classes can be offered to suit the candidate’s strengths, and we are open to the idea of a transition-to-teaching candidate if such an arrangement would be possible. We have good Apple equipment, a dedicated journalism lab, and access to other technology that might be needed in the job.

This beautiful community has plenty of recreational opportunities available. We have a new swimming pool, beautiful parks, and several fine dining establishments. And with Denver, CO, two and a half hours away, plenty of shopping, professional sports, and skiing/hiking/camping opportunities are also available.

This job will be closed and the posting removed once we have found and hired a suitable candidate.

St. Francis USD 297

We pay $435 toward a single insurance policy and $870 toward a family policy. Our starting salary is $38,500, but all candidates will be placed on the salary schedule according to education and experience.
